Hi, all.

Wow. Three events down, one to go!

Thanks to everyone who helped make the Rogers, Stallman, and O'Reilly
events so successful. We handily exceeded our minimum attendance goals
in each case.

                          Estimated Goal

Attendance: Rogers ~175 (150)
               Stallman ~375 (300)
               O'Reilly ~125 (100)

VanLUG's efforts in getting the word out helped make Richard Stallman's
presentation the best attended of any CICSR-sponsored lecture, *ever*.
Professor Ward passed on her special thanks to the group and expressed
the hope that CICSR and VanLUG can cooperate on similar events in the
future.

Of course, we're greatly indebted to both CICSR and ActiveState for
offering VanLUG an opportunity to participate in Richard's and Tim's
visits to Vancouver, respectively.

We're also indebted to Matt Laird of the UBC Amateur Radio Society for
booking the SUB Auditorium on our behalf, and to the IEEE Student Branch
and the UBC Bookstore for their help in publicizing these events on
campus.
