When you boot, the system loads the boot loader in the MBR of your hard
drive. Since LILO is on hda7, not the MBR, you'll be loading the
original Win95 boot loader, which knows nothing of Linux. There may be
some way to configure the Win95 boot loader to be able to load LILO, but
I don't know what it is.

When setting up dual boot systems, I always use lilo in the MBR, and add
an entry for the second OS to boot from LILO. That's a bit hard to
explain though, so it might be easier if you got OpenLinux to make a new
boot disk for you (it does have such an option, no?), then peruse the
LILO docs at your leisure.

I'd say there's a pretty good chance of that if it's an older disk. You
need to get OpenLinux to make you a boot disk, then everything should
work (assuming you've set the ethernet device in the appropriate admin
dialog box). That should take care of the mouse too.

If there's still room, you could also sign up for the Installfest next
weekend, and bring in your box to get some assistance from the
installers on site.

Brian.
