Your advice solved much of the problems...it was actually much quicker for
me to reinstall OpenLinux over again with MBR booting with LILO than try to
mess with boot disk creation etc.

My mouse now works, dual boot works like a charm, still no net access.

While booting it does say that it loads the ne2k drivers for my card, I
selected the card directly and all seems well there, at least the OS isn't
complaining. But it looks like there is no route out of that card to get to
my gateway machine (which has been running my home network with Slackware
for many months). Suggestions? I'm at a bit of a loss. I remember a command
regarding adding a route from a long while back, a refresher would be good.
