Agreed. Thats what I use TCP-Wrappers and /etc/hosts.deny for. I
specifically enable my friends access through the /etc/hosts.allow file.
Since I disabled TELNET except for a certain specific IP address then
sniffing an 'account/password' set of strings will not be very useful.
Also /etc/exports has been set up for insecure read with user "nobody"
but "no_root_squash" read/write access for people within my LAN.
