Look, the fellow was asking in regards to VIDEO EDITING. UNDERSTAND????
What _exactly_ do you mean by slower? If it takes more time to pass
through the switch, it is "slower" in terms of latency. Often, as I
(in vain) already pointed out, this is not an issue. When it is, it is.
Why don't you harp on the fellow with the particular "complaint",
i.e. he'd heard switches are a problem with his app. I see no reason
why I should go 'round looking for marginal systems... perhaps you
can design some "real-time system", to make this easier for me?
If you want, I'll draw one of the dead simple little diagrammes
that one uses for such things. The "math" involved is subtraction,
and comparing the result to zero. A tiny bit of geometry too, which
covers that detail of not moving backwards in time (at macro level).
(I assume fixed distances (i.e., cables), to avoid some basic trig...)
Off to work with pencil and paper, to think of something intersting.
