first the rh printool ascii text page - this works

Cool, I just tried telnetting in, it does have this feature. OTOH it doesn't
print out what I type, it just gives you stats on the server and attached
printer(s)

as above works fine

nope this filter is same one I used when the printer was attached directly to
the RH6.0 box. In this case the HPDeskjet 500 filter for my HPDj540 Inkjet.
Once I have this working I plan to hook up my Brother Laser on the second
port on the printserver.

will have to look into that as I don't know if that is possible.
