Hey All;
I've used komba, Gnomba, xSMBrowser, and LinNeighborhood. I must say
the LinNeighborhood works the best for me.
Gnomba wants to use Gnome file manager, so it pops up spurious
desktop items for me when I try browsing, and for some reason, doesn't
mount volumes very well.
xSMBrowser works very well, but I find I prefer a treed visual,
rather than one changing window view. Plus it is a bit ugly. But it does
work well, and with the least requirements I think.
Komba wouldn't work properly for me.
LinNeighborhood works well, was fairly easy to configure and use,
and looks good, with a nice treed view of shares, just like windoze....
'cept samba finds shares a lot faster. :-) Works for me in WindowMaker,
KDE, or ICEwm.
Just some more experimental info for y'all to contemplate.
Cheers,
Ian
