Hi All,
I received the new D-Link DSS-8+ switch yesterday. It looks like a
really neat device.
It's about the same size as their DHS-5, but a bit wider, not much
though.
The one thing I noticed right away is that there is NO FAN...Ya`akov
would like that. :-)
It does run a bit warmer than room temperature, but not by much - not
hot at all. The external power pack (5V @ 2A) is also warm, but not hot.
I haven't done any serious benchmark testing, since my network really
isn't loaded heavily at all.....but for "Joe Blow", this looks like a
winner..... :-) Maybe I should transfer a couple of gigabyte files back
and forth and see if it blows up.... :-)
Has anybody else received theirs ? It's not bad for the $90 price !
:-)
