Did you plug the card in computer? :)

Anyways, my experience is to use the driver that came with the kernel and
it worked excelent (Mandrake 7.1 tho, but 7.0 uses 2.2.14, which is only
one revision old :) Also, run kudzu to help automate the card install
process (you have to modprobe drivers before you use network card). If you
didn't play with the kernel then do
modprobe tulip
as root and than go to netcfg.
Also I haven't had any luck with DHCP so simply enter the data manualy
