Eya Harondel,

Missed you at the Xmas party! Anyway, I was just over at SFU bookstore
and in the latest Linux Journal Magzine, they have a step by step way of
installing a Broadcast server, which uses icecast/ encoder(Did'nt go
that deep into it), which can be played on xmms and/or winamp.

They have config files+details on how to set it up. This is a HOWTO a
project called www.opensourceradio.com who used this to set their
servers up.

Also , you can check freshmeat.net, for automount etc, run the automound
on the box, which when it detectes a cdrom, launches a script which then
launches a ripper, and puts the files into a shared dir which is a part
of the icecast server.

Everynight/hour launch a script that rm -f' the wav files left over.

This all can be done by one simple shell script in a cron job that
basicallys runs and checks if there is a cdrom in the drive, if = 1 exec
ripper /cdrom/* ; cp -R $placetomp3/* /icecastserverdir/* ; echo " On
`date` added new mp3" | mail `date` added new mp3" | mail root@localhost ;
else if = 0{
sleep
}

fi.

Hm..I could make it, but I am too lazy(I'll be happy to help you write
the script, and a small HOWTO which could then be posted here or ldp
etc.)...upto you..
