FTP Cross Protocol, you've probably seen the PORT command get used on FTPs
when your were downloading/uploading something, so that they connect back
to you to send the data to you, instead, it provides them with different
arguments, so they connect elsewhere. Thus it basically links the data
stream between two FTP servers directly, enabling high speed transfer.
The person/system controlling it would just connect to each FTP at the same
time, with some application that supports FXP (I use FlashFXP). The person
can be on any speed connection, I've heard it done from 28k modem even.

I use it primarily to mirror stuff across ftp servers because thats faster than
uploading it to each one myself, although the largest users of it today belong
to warez groups, couriers in particular, as they can just link two high
speed ftp servers, and get the software transfered around the world in
short order. (Yes, I have some friends that do this)
