Has anyone else running kernel 2.4.0 experienced "hickups" during remote
SSH sessions?

I recently installed 2.4.0 on several of our servers and have found that
SSH sessions to those servers occassionally lock up for as long as 30
seconds before regular operation returns. These machines are on a local
LAN and both the client and server's networking appears to be
functioning properly (ie no errors appearing in ifconfig, dropped
packets, etc.). Further, when more than one SSH session is open to a
server the "hickup" only effects one session at a time. The others
continue to work as expected as do other network services such as ftp
and web servers.

To date my attempts to remedy this have been to upgrade to
glibc-2.1.3-22 and ssh-2.4.0, neither of which seems to have solved the
problem.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar and/or have suggestions on
fixes?

Thanks,

- Ben
