nmap -sU an.ip.add.ress from "root"

nmap -sU "an.ip.add.ress" from "root" returns a LOT more open UDP addresses
than the corresponding default scan of nmap "an.ip.add.ress" on my LinkSys
"blue box" router. Hmmm. Wonder if I am still vulnerable to hackers...
