I run http://www.cpureview.com/ and I've had reasonable success overclocking
all sorts of processors, including Athlons, Durons, Celery etc.

I've got a Duron 650 running at up to 935MHz when I don't use a GeForce (too
much current draw from the motherboard for long term reliable operation
at 935 with the GeForce); 800 is rock solid even with a GeForce.

Running an Athlon 800 at 900 should be a piece of cake; will try it soon -
would have tried it earlier except for Comdex, a trip to HK and xmas/ny.

Basicallly:

 - make certain you are running a 300W (or higher!) AMD approved power supply
 - get a really good heatsink/fan combo (I recommend the GlobalWin FOP38)
 - use a THIN even layer of thermal grease between the heatsink and CPU
 - DO NOT USE those "heatsink tape's"
 - pay the extra few $$, get Micron PC133 memory
 - be careful with the GeForce/motherboard combo; GeForce's draw a ridiculous
ammount of current from the motherboard
 - in the BIOS set the CPU DRIVE CURRENT to 3

Currently I recommend the Abit KT7RAID; but that may change after the next
 batch of board reviews.

 See:

There are a bunch of other Athlon/Linux articles at my site.

 Hope this helps,

 Bill
