I currently colocate with Peer1, which is why the comments were directed
specifically at them. Essentially every service they offered was made in
comparison to how "those guys across the street" (as they referred to Peer1
and the other colocation firms downtown) didn't have them. "Ohh, yes, Peer1.
They're one of our customers, just to give you an idea who you're talking to
here." "We have a flat rate scheme, unlike those guys across the street."
"We're a global provider, unlike those guys across the street.", "We don't
have unescorted access, unlike those guys across the street.", etc, etc.
Still, it was a fun excuse to take half a day off work and look around their
facility. Plus we got a cool poster of the world with all their facilities
and links on it, which currently adorns my office wall.
