Ok, after being on hold for around 40 minutes @telus, I was
told that my area does not have a port yet, and they are on
the waiting list for around Feb 7 customers...so I am
guessing, it'll be a month+ wait for me.

Till then, I fell for the Shaw's 1 month free + free
install...gives me 1 month to try them out, if they don't
work out, I can *hopefully* change to telus.

Anyway, does anyone have any advice on how the techs react,
if you are running an OS other than Windows/Linux? Any do's
or dont's I should remember?

Thanks for all the help guyz...with all this bull with BC's
corporate telecommunication giants, I am learning a lot from
your experiences.

PS - Did Shaw switch to DHCP? Or as I remember a year ago,
you could you a static IP they usually provided on a yellow
paper...

And oh, yeah, how easy to setup is And oh, yeah, how easy to setup is DHCP@shaw?
