Okay, after much reading of the docs, and online material, I was reminded
that I need to add hdc=ide-scsi to lilo.conf file so that linux proprerly
recognizes my pcmcia cdrw drive. However, I am using grub and it doesn't
look like it has a way to pass that command direct to the kernel like lilo.
The one workaround I found on the grub list was to put lilo in the root
partition and have grub call lilo which then passes the appropriate line to
the kernel. Does anyone have an easier way?
TIA
