Shaun,

I would never normally criticize someone for defending linux. But in this case I will make an exception.

Firstly let me repeat what Dave has said regarding being too negative and hard upon our selves. This includes Mr. Dunn as well as yourself.

Secondly, I assume you were not present because you would know that there were problems.

Thirdly, Dave has said that the proper forumn for addressing those issues will be a Steering Committee meeting later this month. All are welcome to attend and I encourage you to do so. If you cannot I suggest sending a private email outlining your views.

Fourthly, we all want to solve the problems that we experienced. I believe that it is in this spirit that Mr. Dunn posted his message. If he didn't care, if it didn't make a difference to him, if he didn't want to see improvements he wouldn't have posted. Remember, he brought clients to see us. He has a stake in Linux.

Finally, even making allowances for your strong belief in linux, I have to think that your comments are a bit over the top. The same questions you ask of Mr. Dunn can be asked of you. But this isn't the time or the place nor is there any need to ask them. There's a right way and a wrong way to make a positive contribution. I know you mean well but, please, lighten up.

Knowledge shared is knowledge squared. Hence the power of Linux.
