Well, my plenum cable says "plenum" right on the sheath. Also, it feels
quite different, though that's hard to convey to someone who doesn't
have both to feel.
You could always light a short length on fire and breathe in the fumes.
If you die quickly, it wasn't plenum, if you die more slowly, it was. :-)
